2024년 장영실 펠로우 프로그램 공고 Notice of 2024 Jang Young Sil Fellow Program
국·내외 우수한 박사후 연구자가 KAIST와 함께 세계 핵심 과학기술 분야의 인재로 성장할 수 있도록 고급 과학인재 양성 시스템의 체계적인 구축을 위해 2024년 장영실 펠로우 프로그램을 아래와 같이 시행합니다.

1. 사업 목적
◦ KAIST가 국내외 우수한 박사후 신진연구자를 세계 핵심 과학기술 분야의 인재로 성장할 수 있도록 지원
◦ 신진연구자의 연구역량을 극대화하여 탁월한 연구 성과를 창출할 수 있는 KAIST 교원에 준하는 인재로 성장할 수 있도록 지원
2. 추진 내용
◦ (대상) 국내외 박사학위 졸업예정자 및 박사학위 취득 후 5년 이내 전 세계 우수 연구자
(※임용일 기준 박사학위 소지자)
◦ (예산) 1인당 연간 1억원(인건비 8천만원, 연구비 2천만원)
◦ (기간) 최초 계약은 1년으로 하고 매년 성과평가를 통한 재계약 가능(최대 3년)
◦ (절차)
◦ (지원방법) 대표연구실적포함 이력서(CV), 개인정보 수집·이용동의서 이메일 제출
◦ (제출처) 각 단과대학 교학팀
◦ (후보자 선정결과 제출) 각 단과대학에서는 후보자 선정결과를 2024년 5월 7일 (화)까지 연구정책전략팀으로 협조문 제출

The operational plan of the 2024 Jang Young Sil Fellow Program will be implemented as follows to establish an advanced scientific talent development system, enabling KAIST to support the growth of outstanding domestic/ international post-doc researchers in major fields of science and technology.

1. Purpose
◦ Enables KAIST to support the growth of outstanding domestic/international post-doc researchers in major fields of science and technology
◦ Maximizes the research capabilities of emerging researchers, nurturing them into talents capable of producing research outcomes on par with that of KAIST faculty
2. Details
◦ (Target) Doctoral candidates expecting graduation from domestic/international universities, and world-class researchers who obtained their doctoral degree in the past 5 years (※ Must hold a doctoral degree on the date of appointment)
◦ (Budget) Annual KRW 100 million per person (personnel expenses of KRW 80 million, research fund of KRW 20 million)
◦ (Period) Initial contract will be one year, with the possibility of renewal through annual performance evaluation
(max. 3 years)
◦ (Process)
◦ (Application method) Submit CV, including major research achievements, and consent to collection/use of personal information by e-mail
◦ (Receiving office) Academic Affairs Team of each college
◦ (Submission of candidate selection result) Submit the candidates list to Strategic Research Planning Team by May 7 (Tue), 2024
