The 38th Mathematics Competition for University Students in Korea, which was sponsored by the Korean Mathematical Society (KMS), took place on November 27, 2019.
Every year since 1982, the competition has been held to encourage interest in mathematics among university students.
The competition proceeded with two groups of students: the first group was for math majors and the second for non-math majors.
A total of 11 undergraduate students from the Mathematical Sciences Department at KAIST received rewards from the first group.
- Gold Medal: Min-Woo Kim, Tae-Gyun Kim, Jong-Won Lee, Dae-Bum Choi
- Silver Medal: Hyun-Joon Gil, Gun-Woo Kim, Chan-Jin Yoo
- Bronze Medal: Seong-Hoon Ko, Kyu-Won Kim, Seok-Min Ha, Seok-Gun Han
