Professor Geon Ho Choe Received the 2022 Korean Mathematical Society Education Award

Professors Geon Ho Choe of the Mathematical Sciences Department, KAIST received the “2022 KMS Education Award”.

The Korean Mathematical Society(KMS) held its 2022 Spring Meeting on April 28-29 online.

Prof. Geon Ho Choe has been a professor at the Department of Mathematics, KAIST for over 30 years and has contributed to fostering talents(Ph.D. – 20, M.S. – 10).

For many years, he has expanded the base of modern mathematics by lecturing financial mathematics to MBA, master’s, and doctoral students at the Graduate School of Finance at KAIST.

In addition, he has contributed to passing on mathematics to future generations by teaching mathematics research to the gifted high school students in Busan and Daejeon for over 10 years.

Also, Dr. Kihyun Kim and Dr. Dae Wook Kim, alumni (graduated in August, 2021) received the “2022 KMS Ph.D. Dissertation Award”.
