Professors Donghwan Kim and Jaehoon Kim Chosen for POSCO Science Fellowship 2019

The awards ceremony of POSCO Science Fellowship 2019 took place on September 27, 2019 at POSCO Seoul Center.

This year, a total of 40 fellows were selected, which consists of 27 university professors, 7 post-docs, and 6 doctoral students.

Two professors, Donghwan Kim and Jaehoon Kim, from the Department of Mathematical Sciences have made the list. The Fellowship will award them an annual grant of 50 million KRW for two years.

Sponsored by POSCO TJ Park Foundation, the Fellowship was created in 2009 to commemorate contributions made by the late founder and CEO of POSCO, TJ Park, to the development of science and technology in Korea. Since then, it has supported outstanding early-career scientists working at domestic universities and research institutes in the fields of mathematics, physics, chemistry, life sciences, steel, materials engineering, and energy materials.
