Received his Ph.D. in 2014 from Jagiellonian University, Poland, Dr. Ngoc Cuong Nguyen has been appointed as an assistant professor to the Department of Mathematical Sciences as of September 1, 2019.
His research interests include primarily geometric analysis, at the intersection of differential geometry and partial differential equations, in particular. Currently, he studies applying complex Monge-Ampère equations to complex geometry and algebraic geometry, as well as applying pluripotential theory to complex dynamic in higher dimension.
A native of Vietnam, Dr. Nguyen is married with one daughter.
