The 2022 Summer Conference of the Korean Statistical Society (KSS) took place at Seoul National University on June 23-35, 2022.

Junyoung Park (advisor: Professor Cheolwoo Park), a graduate student in the Department of Mathematical Sciences received the 2022 KSS Presentation Award for Graduate Students as recognition for excellent presentation for his paper, titled “Kernel Methods for Radial Transformed Compositional Data with Many Zeros” (co-authors: Changwon Yoon, Cheolwoo Park, and Jeongyoun Ahn).

This paper has also accepted at the 39th International Conference on Machine Learning (ICML 2022).
