Professor Chang-Ock Lee Receives an Appreciation Plaque

Professor Chang-Ock Lee, who served the Department of Mathematical Sciences as its Head in the past two years, received a plaque of appreciation from the department’s members in recognition of his exceptional leadership and devoted service.

The presentation of the plaque took place during the dinner meeting of full faculty members on June 12, 2017.

Professor Lee has led the department from March 18, 2015 to June 11, 2017. While in office, he has made great efforts to provide a sense of unity within the department and improved learning and research environments for students and faculty. He also took initiatives to bring more innovation in education.

“There were many ups and downs, I must say, to work as Department Head over the years, but it was definitely a rewarding job,” Professor Lee said.

“Now, I go back to my research and teaching, but will continue to support the growth of our department by helping the newly elected department head Yong-Nam Lee,” he added.

Professor Yong Nam Lee has been appointed as Department Head, beginning his stint on June 12, 217 and serving it until February 28, 2017.
