Abstract:
a new family of complex non-algebraic manifolds was
constructed in 2000 by Meersseman, and generalized in 2001 by Bosio. I will explain how to construct them from the point of view of the
-purely algebraic- Mumford's Geometric Invariant Theory and its
generalizations. I will discuss the relationship with toric varieties.
