Title: A gentle introduction to Schramm-Loewner evolution
Abstract:
Schramm-Loewner evolution (SLE) has been used with great success to prove some outstanding conjectures and predictions from probability and statistical physics. I present several results of Lawler, Schramm, and Werner's research including Mandelbrot's conjecture that the Hausdorff dimension of the planar Brownian frontier is 4/3. I also describe the scaling limits of several lattice models from statistical physics in terms of SLEs. If time permits, certain path properties of SLEs including the regularity will be discussed.
