Course book Differential Geometry of Curves and Surfaces, Manfredo P. do Carmo, Prentice-Hall, 1976
(Secondary:
Differential geometry, M. Lipschutz, Schaum’s outlines1969)

Topics: We will learn the basic theory of differential geometry for curves and surfaces. The main goal is to understand the intrinsic and
extrinsic geometry of surfaces and curves. We will also learn the Gauss-Bonnet theorem. These theories are useful in computer graphics
and also serve as an introduction to modern differential geometry.

Midterm exam 35%, Final exam 35%, Recitation 20%, Attendance 10%
